\nToe die bruidegom lank wegbly, het hulle almal vaak geword en aan die slaap geraak.

\nToe staan al die meisies op en maak hulle lampe reg.
\nDie onverstandiges s\u00ea toe vir die verstandiges: \u2018Gee vir ons van julle olie, want ons lampe gaan dood.\u2019
\nMaar die verstandiges antwoord: \u2018Nee, daar is nie genoeg vir ons en vir julle nie. Gaan liewer winkel toe en koop vir julle olie.\u2019
