\nAll his affliction;

\nHow he swore to the Lord
\nAnd vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

\n\u201cSurely I will not enter my house,
\nNor lie on my bed;

\nI will not give sleep to my eyes
\nOr slumber to my eyelids,

\nUntil I find a place for the Lord,
\nA dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

\nBehold, we heard of it in Ephrathah,
\nWe found it in the field of Jaar.

\nLet us go into His dwelling place;
\nLet us worship at His footstool<\/strong>.
\n8
\nArise, O Lord, to Your resting place,
\nYou and the ark of Your strength.
\n9
\nLet Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
\nAnd let Your godly ones sing for joy.<\/p>\n
\nFor the sake of David Your servant,
\nDo not turn away the face of Your anointed.
\n11
\nThe Lord has sworn to David
\nA truth from which He will not turn back:
\n\u201cOf the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
\n12
\n\u201cIf your sons will keep My covenant
\nAnd My testimony which I will teach them,
\nTheir sons also shall sit upon your throne forever.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFor the Lord has chosen Zion;
\nHe has desired it for His habitation.
\n14
\n\u201cThis is My resting place forever;
\nHere I will dwell, for I have desired it.
\n15
\n\u201cI will abundantly bless her provision;
\nI will satisfy her needy with bread.
\n16
\n\u201cHer priests also I will clothe with salvation,
\nAnd her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.
\n17
\n\u201cThere I will cause the horn of David to spring forth;
\nI have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.
\n18
\n\u201cHis enemies I will clothe with shame,
\nBut upon himself his crown shall shine.\u201d<\/p>\n
