Book of Gentiles

book of gentiles

Chapter 1

  1. “To whom would He teach knowledge?
and to whom would He interpret the message?
    Those just weaned from milk?
Those just taken from the breast?
    “For He says,
‘Order on order, order on order,
Line on line, line on line,
A little here, a little there.’”
Indeed, He will speak to this people
Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
He who said to them, “Here is rest, give rest to the weary,”
    and, “Here is repose”.
  2. But they would not listen.
So the word of the LORD to them will be,
“Order on order, order on order,
Line on line, line on line,
A little here, a little there,”
That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared, and taken captive.

Chapter 2 Prophecy

  1. “And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,
because you have obeyed My voice.”
  2. Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread out the earth and its offspring,
Who gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk in it,
“I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness,
I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the nations,
    To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the dungeon
And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.
    “I am the LORD, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
Nor My praise to graven images.”
  3. “Your houses will I give to a people that shall come;
which not having heard of me yet shall believe me; to whom I have showed no signs,
yet they shall do that I have commanded them.
    They have seen no prophets,
yet they shall call their sins to remembrance,
    and acknowledge them.
I take to witness the grace of the people to come,
whose little ones rejoice in gladness: and though they have not seen me with bodily eyes,
yet in spirit they believe the thing that I say.
And now, brother, behold what glory; and see the people that come from the east:
Unto whom I will give for leaders, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Oseas, Amos, and Micheas, Joel, Abdias, and Jonas,
Nahum, and Abacuc, Sophonias, Aggeus, Zachary, Malachy and the angel of the Lord.”
  4. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify to the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “all nations shall be blessed in you.”
  5. You, being a wild olive, are now grafted in among God’s chosen people and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree.
  6. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  7. For the Jews and Jerusalem, seventy weeks have been decreed, to finish transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.

Chapter 3 Jews and Jerusalem

  1. “God has not rejected His people, for I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured and all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. It will come about after this. That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. On the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.”

Cross reference: Romans 11:1, Zechariah 12:2-3, Joel 2:28-29, Psalm 122:6

Chapter 4 Instruction

  1. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.”
  2. What good thing shall you do that you may obtain eternal life, you shall not commit murder or adultery or steal or bear false witness; honor thy mother and father; love thy neighbour as yourself and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household.
  3. By this we know that we are the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
Who ever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world; our faith in Jesus Christ.

Chapter 5 The Chosen

  1. “Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. At that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another.
Many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many.
Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.”
  2. After these things a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, stand before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?
    You know.
These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
  3. Keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.
  4. Behold, I send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD
  5. Behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a stephanos was given to him, a garland, awarded to a victor, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
  6. A red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him. “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.”
  7. A black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.'”and in various places there will be famines”
  8. Behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth. “and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.”
  9. Underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained. “They will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. At that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another.”
  11. Keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.
  12. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.
  13. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready. And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
These are true words of God.
  14. Heaven opened; behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the winepress of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
  15. An angel standing in the sun; cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven,
“Come, assemble for the great supper of God; in order that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great.” “Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”
  16. The beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who sat upon the horse, and against His army.
  17. The beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; “I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images,” these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. “Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”
